This is not a traditional IT or software development role. You would not be writing an application. You would be looking at how a business actually runs, finding the parts that waste time or go wrong, and then building or configuring the fix yourself in tools like Zapier and Make. The hardest part is not the building. Plenty of people can wire up an automation. The filter here is judgment about WHAT is worth building, and whether you can show that it worked afterwards. If you have never had to argue that something was not worth automating, or never measured what one of your automations actually saved, this will be a harder role than it looks. On the hours, please read this twice before applying. This is a full overnight shift in India. US business hours here means roughly 6 PM to 3 AM IST, five days a week. It is not a partial overlap and it is not negotiable.

About this role

This is an internal AI role, not a software development one. You would be the company's primary AI resource, working on your own across operations, technical and administrative processes, and reporting straight to leadership. The work starts before the building does: looking at how the business actually runs, spotting what is slow or error-prone, and deciding where AI genuinely creates value rather than where it merely could be applied. Then you build it - AI-driven automations in platforms like Zapier and Make, AI models and APIs wired into the CRM, spreadsheets, email, project management and accounting systems - and you test it, deploy it, document it, and keep improving it once it is running. You would also run pilots on new tools, judge them on ROI and reliability rather than novelty, and brief non-technical leadership on what is worth their attention. Measuring the impact is part of the job, not an afterthought: hours saved, errors reduced, costs avoided.

What you’ll do

  • Build and maintain AI-driven automations using platforms such as Zapier and Make
  • Integrate AI models and APIs with CRM systems, spreadsheets, email, project management tools, accounting systems and internal databases
  • Develop effective prompts, AI workflows and automated decision processes
  • Take projects from problem identification through solution design, implementation, testing, deployment and documentation
  • Proactively identify new AI opportunities across operational, technical and administrative processes
  • Run pilots and proof-of-concepts, and evaluate new tools on ROI and reliability
  • Brief leadership regularly on AI developments and their potential business applications
  • Measure and report impact - hours saved, errors reduced, costs avoided
  • Continuously improve solutions based on real-world performance

What we’re looking for

  • Hands-on experience building real AI-powered solutions that went into production
  • Strong practical knowledge of LLMs, AI assistants and AI agents
  • Zapier and/or Make
  • No-code and low-code automation platform experience
  • AI API integration
  • Prompt engineering and AI workflow design
  • CRM, email, spreadsheet and project management tool integrations
  • Ability to independently take a problem from identification through deployment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Documentation and knowledge management

Nice to have

  • Python scripting for custom integrations
  • Experience with APIs and webhooks
  • Building AI agents or multi-step AI workflows
  • Experience with AI platforms beyond basic chatbot usage
  • Domain experience in energy, real estate, construction or professional services
  • AI data privacy and responsible AI practices
  • ROI-based evaluation of AI tools
