About this role
You will own the takeoff and estimating workstream — reading architectural and structural drawing sets, quantifying components for canopies and architectural-metal scopes, flagging gaps and conflicts in the documents, and turning each set into an accurate, well-documented quote. You will review bid packages, RFIs, and addenda, note assumptions clearly, and coordinate with sales, project managers, and customers as scope changes.
What you’ll do
- Perform quantity takeoffs from architectural and structural construction drawings.
- Itemize and quantify components for canopy and architectural-metal scopes.
- Review bid packages, RFIs, addenda, and customer markups for gaps and conflicts.
- Document missing information and assumptions, and prepare quote revisions.
- Prepare clear, accurate quotes and proposals from a drawing set.
- Coordinate with sales, project managers, and customers as scope changes.
What we’re looking for
- Hands-on construction estimating / takeoff experience.
- Ability to read architectural and structural drawings.
- Comfort quantifying components and handling missing or unclear information.
- Clear written English for documenting assumptions and quotes.
- Reliable overlap with a full U.S. shift.
Nice to have
- Experience with canopies, awnings, or architectural metals.
- Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, or STACK experience.
- Storefront / curtain wall / glazing or signage takeoff experience.
