About this role
This is a full-time, remote role based in India or the Philippines for an experienced interior design drafter with 5 or more years of hands-on AutoCAD 2D drafting. You will work closely with interior designers, architects, consultants and project teams across residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, retail and educational projects. The primary responsibility is converting interior design concepts, sketches, layouts and designer instructions into accurate, detailed construction drawings and technical documentation: floor plans, interior elevations, sections, enlarged details, furniture construction drawings and millwork details. You will maintain organized CAD files to established drafting standards, ensure dimensional accuracy, incorporate revisions efficiently and run quality checks before submission. You will also assist with FF&E documentation and material and finish schedules, and coordinate drawing details with architectural plans and project information provided by the wider project team. This role suits a technically strong, detail-oriented drafter who puts accuracy and construction-readiness ahead of creative concept design, and who can interpret design instructions independently and produce precise, well-organized drawings with minimal supervision. It is not a role for people focused on client presentations, concept ideation or project management. A portfolio of interior construction drawings is required, with a brief explanation of your contribution to each project.
What you’ll do
- Convert interior design concepts, sketches, layouts and designer instructions into accurate AutoCAD 2D construction drawings
- Prepare floor plans and layouts, interior elevations, sections and enlarged details
- Prepare furniture construction drawings and millwork details
- Read and interpret architectural plans and design markups, and coordinate drawing details with the architectural plans and project information
- Maintain organized CAD files to established drafting standards (layers, line types and drafting conventions)
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and run quality checks on every drawing before submission
- Incorporate revisions efficiently and accurately
- Assist with FF&E documentation and material and finish schedules
- Work closely with interior designers, architects, consultants and project teams
What we’re looking for
- 5 or more years in interior design drafting, interior architecture or architectural drafting
- Hands-on AutoCAD 2D drafting proficiency (non-negotiable)
- Interior construction drawing preparation: floor plans, interior elevations, sections and enlarged details
- Furniture and millwork detailing
- Interior architecture documentation
- CAD file management: layers, line types and drafting standards
- FF&E documentation
- Drawing quality control and review
- Reading and interpreting architectural plans and design markups
- Ability to interpret design instructions independently and produce precise drawings with minimal supervision
- A portfolio of interior construction drawings (floor plans, elevations, construction details or furniture drawings) with a brief explanation of your contribution to each project
- A degree or diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architectural Drafting is preferred
