About this role
You will design furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) packages for educational and institutional spaces - classrooms, libraries, labs and common areas - turning an architect's concept into a specified, presentable package. You will work in the specialist FF&E software (Giza 2020, CAP/CET, Configura) alongside AutoCAD 2D drafting and 3D visualisation, select fabrics and finishes against the design intent, and present concepts to administrators while coordinating with an internal sales team. This is a fully remote, India-based role on India business hours with overlap into U.S. Eastern for client calls.
What you’ll do
- Design FF&E packages for educational and institutional spaces, translating an architect's concept into a specified, presentable layout.
- Produce AutoCAD 2D drawings and 3D models and visualisations of the proposed spaces.
- Specify furniture and equipment in the specialist FF&E software (Giza 2020, CAP/CET, Configura).
- Select fabrics and finishes against the architectural concept and design intent.
- Present design concepts to school administrators and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with the internal sales team through the project lifecycle.
What we’re looking for
- Three to five years of FF&E project-design experience in educational or institutional environments.
- Fluency in the specialist FF&E specification software (Giza 2020, CAP/CET, Configura).
- Strong AutoCAD 2D drafting together with 3D modelling and visualisation.
- Experience selecting fabrics and finishes against an architectural concept.
- Comfort presenting concepts to administrators and coordinating with an internal sales team.
- Availability for India business hours with overlap into U.S. Eastern for client calls.
Nice to have
- Interior design knowledge, residential or commercial.
- Custom furniture or millwork design experience.
- Experience creating client-facing presentations and pitch decks.
- Knowledge of architectural concepts and building codes for educational facilities.
- Familiarity with K-12 or higher education facility standards.
- Vendor and procurement coordination skills.
