About this role
This is a remote, full-time, long-term role working with a U.S.-based team of business owners, designers and operational staff. You will study how the team produces its Revit documentation today, find the automation opportunities with the highest value, and build complete solutions with the Revit API, AI and machine learning, large language models, computer vision and custom software, from discovery through deployment and ongoing improvement. A secondary project is a client-facing project portal with dashboards, project tracking, WhatsApp integration and status notifications. You will work with people who do not code, so explaining your work clearly matters as much as building it. Candidates are evaluated through a technical discussion and are expected to present portfolio work, GitHub projects or examples of AI or automation systems they have built.
What you’ll do
- Analyse existing Revit-based interior design workflows and identify the highest-value automation opportunities
- Build a custom AI-powered system that automates repetitive Revit plan creation, such as lighting plans, plumbing plans and elevations
- Develop Revit automation with the Revit API, Dynamo or similar tools, working with families, parameters, views, sheets and schedules
- Build AI and machine learning features using large language models, computer vision and the design data the firm already has
- Design, build, deploy and maintain custom software, APIs, integrations and databases
- Build a client-facing project portal with dashboards, project tracking, WhatsApp integration and status notifications (secondary project)
- Explain technical concepts and progress clearly to designers and business owners who do not code
What we’re looking for
- Hands-on experience in BOTH AI or software development AND Revit or BIM workflows (4 or more years preferred)
- Hands-on Autodesk Revit experience on real projects
- Working knowledge of Revit elements, views, sheets, families, parameters, annotations, schedules and design constraints
- Understanding of architectural or interior design workflows
- Experience developing AI-powered applications or intelligent automation systems
- Experience with AI APIs, large language models or machine learning systems
- Custom software development experience, not only no-code tools
- API design and third-party integration experience
- Database management and structured data handling
- Ability to design end-to-end automated workflows
- Excellent written and verbal English
- Able to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Independent ownership from discovery through deployment
