About this role
An experienced video editor with strong narrative instincts. You will take raw interview and documentary footage and shape it into finished, story-driven films. This is narrative editing, not template work. The role runs primarily in Final Cut Pro on long-form and short-form projects, working remotely with a U.S.-based production team on a permanent night shift.
What you’ll do
- Edit long-form and short-form videos based on creative direction.
- Synchronize interviews and organize raw footage.
- Build compelling storylines using interviews and supporting footage.
- Add motion graphics, titles, lower thirds, speaker names, and music.
- Select and integrate supporting visuals to strengthen the narrative.
- Maintain a consistent editing style across all projects.
- Meet production deadlines while delivering high-quality work.
- Collaborate with the production team and implement revisions as required.
What we’re looking for
- Strong professional experience in video editing.
- Proficiency in Final Cut Pro.
- Experience with Adobe After Effects for motion graphics.
- Excellent storytelling and narrative editing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to nonprofit storytelling styles.
Nice to have
- Experience editing documentaries, fundraising campaigns, or nonprofit videos.
- Experience working with multilingual content (Hebrew or Yiddish is a plus).
- Experience collaborating with remote production teams.
